During August I was lucky enough to spend some time away at our family holiday home in Devon. The change of environment was great because of course, we've been locked away and restricted for quite a long time. I think we were quite concerned about what would be available to do there this time as of course, we wanted to avoid the virus as much as possible. We usually go during the Easter months but this was, of course, let down by the virus. I had also planned to travel and work in the States for the duration of summer. I still have no idea if I can still pursue this as it might affect what I want to do over the next few years career-wise, It was also quite a sad moment for me as we need to put the holiday home on sale now. I've been lucky enough to have stayed there throughout my entire life. Closing a chapter in your life can be sad, but of course, nothing can last forever! I just wanted to write this and document it as I know it will be nice to look back on it in the future. I have many happy and sad memories in the town it was based and in the area. I'd love to rent a place down there in the future whoever that may be with because it was a really happy place (full of writing inspiration actually!) It is a shame that things have been affected due to the virus and lockdown, but its great to make the most of what you can do safely. I'm always a person who likes to remain positive and find solutions to everything. I like to remain calm and strong if something tough arises. It's one of the best ways to think because, at times, we cannot control the things that happen to us, but we can control how we react most of the time. So overall, it's been great to escape for a bit and go down to the lakes and beaches. Hopefully, travel restrictions will be eased soon, and we can feel safe when travelling very soon. 😊
